We have local 27 Arts Societies across Surrey from Ascot in the west to Limpsfield in the east and from Haslemere and Cranleigh in the south to Runneymede in the north. These bring enjoyment of the arts to more than 5,000 members.
Each Society is different. Some meet in theatres, some in local halls, some in parish churches, but all of them share a curiosity and a passion for the arts.
All the Societies offer a friendly welcome and a hope that you will share with like-minded people the interest and excitement that comes from learning more and being inspired by the arts.
The programme of each Society is based around monthly Lectures given by highly experienced and expert speakers. Each Society organise Visits to galleries, exhibitions, country houses, and buildings of scientific and artistic importance.
Most Societies organise one or two Holidays or Tours a year, both in the UK and abroad, where we travel together to discover the history and culture of new places.
More than just learning about the arts and being inspired, you can also get involved with our Volunteering groups

- Archiving libraries and documents
- Creating local discovery trails
All these projects are either recent or ongoing within the Societies in Surrey.
